Swietokrzyski Bridge, Copernicus Science Centre, The Mermaid of Warsaw and the finish on the brand new Vistulan Boulevards - the new course of Enea IRONMAN 5150 Warsaw is going to be just amazing!
While swim and bike courses will stay mostly the same, the run course and finish line will be drastically changed as Enea IRONMAN 5150 Warsaw is moving to the banks of the Vistula river in Warsaw.
– The new Vistulan Boulevards became extremely popular overnight. You can take a walk, have a bike ride or go for a run out there. We would like to encourage more and more people to visit this place. That's why we decided to move the run course and finish area of Enea IRONMAN 5150 Warsaw to the boulevards – says Janusz Samel from the city of Warsaw. – We do hope sport activities will be omnipresent on our Vistulan Boulevards - he adds.
T2 zone will be located between the Warsaw University Library and the Copernicus Science Centre. Once out, the brand new run course will lead athletes on both sides of the Vistula river, also showing some city's landmarks including Swietokrzysk Bridge, The Mermaid of Warsaw monument and National Stadium. Along the river, they will run on a popular green running path on the east side of the Vistula and through the Vistulan Boulevards on the west side where their families and friends will have a perfect place to cheer them on. 10 km course will be divided into 2 loops, 5 km each.
In the finish area located at the foot of the Copernicus Science Centre, there will also be expo and some activities for whole families.

– Registration numbers are fantastic. 1126 athletes are already registered, compared to 885 finishers last year. We cannot be happier seeing more and more athletes coming to Warsaw – says Michał Drelich, race director. – We are also seeingr a growing number of relay teams participating in the race. And more athletes means more space we need to organize the race. This is also one of the reasons to move to the Vistulan Boulevards. This place is amazing - both for athletes and fans – he notes.
The 40km-long bike course will be just slightly modified. Instead of riding deep into the city center as last year, after going across the Maria Sklodowska-Curie bridge, athletes will continue along the Wislostrada street straight to the T2 zone, passing by Cytadela and the Old Town to their right.Swim part will be held in the Lake Zegrzynski again.
